Philippians 2:22 NKJV

But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.

Philippians 2:22 NKJV

Paul is sending Timothy, his spiritual son, as a messenger, one that reflects Paul, to encourage the believers in the Lord.

Paul speaks of Timothy's character as an approved servant of the Lord. Paul can entrust Timothy to minister to the believers there because Paul had experienced a son and father relationship with Timothy.

Timothy was there to take care of Paul until he was sent for ministry. His loyalty, dedication and heart for God resembles that of Paul.

If there is someone Paul would send to represent him, it would be Timothy.

Many believers believe that their personal needs are far more important than the kingdom of God.

But as a believer, we don't belong to ourselves. We now belong to Christ and is set apart to live for His kingdom.

As believers, if we live our life for Jesus and for His kingdom, we will experience and gain in return true joy, true satisfaction, true peace and true love.

If we are willing to give up our lives for Jesus, we will find the true meaning and purpose for our life. We will walk in the fullness of life.

What holds everything together is our unwavering character in having complete faith and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul sees himself in Timothy his spiritual son. Our hope is where we can reflect Jesus to the world the way Jesus reflects our heavenly Father to us.

Blessings
