And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,

The church of Jesus Christ continued to grow in power and multitudes were added to the church.

It was because of the great presence and reverence for God in the early church and people don't mess around to things pertaining to God and His kingdom.

It was an exciting period as amazing things were happening and people were in awe as believers. It was also a dangerous period for those who sit on the fence and lie about their worship for God.

A couple dropped dead because of lying to the Apostles about their service unto God.

We have lost a lot of this kind of reverence and worship unto God. We do things when we feel like it and when we don't feel like it, we say "God understands".

I doubt anyone said that in the early church. All were fervent in living their life in Jesus and carrying it to their community.

The glory of God was in their community and we can say that the glory of God was covering their community.

The carrier of the glory of God was at work in the early church. As they moved into their community, God's glory covered their community with signs and wonders.

Today the glory of God is mostly locked up in a church building, house church and Christian meeting places.

If we want to see the glory of God to cover the earth as the water covers the seas, we must then spend more time outside walking, talking and demonstrating the power of God.

Let us take this powerful kingdom, this powerful life that Jesus has given us and start to display it wherever we go.
