For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

Paul encourages Timothy his spiritual son to be ready in season and out of season to present a sound doctrine. The only sound doctrine Paul referred to is the foundation Jesus laid for all mankind.

Sound doctrine will encourage people to be disciples of Christ, to love God and love people.

Sound doctrine will challenge our hearts and minds to grow deeper in Christ. It will cause us to carry out Christ's passion that is to save the lost.

To say that we have not received a message to share or we have not heard God tell us to do kingdom work is basically playing religion.

We know we have received the mind of Christ, the authority, the power and the love of Christ. We have received all the spiritual gifts, fruit of the Spirit and are called to live by faith.

It is by the faith in Christ that we stand to share when our mind says there is nothing in us to share.

It is by faith we stretch our hands to heal when we ourselves need healing.

Faith is believing that when we stand trusting Christ, Christ is taking over and His Spirit will lead.

Let us not comfort ourselves with religion but serve God in relationship. Let us walk where He would love to walk and do what is on His heart.

We can because that is how God has made us to be and has empowered us to do.
