Ezekiel‬ ‭8‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then He said to me, “Son of man, lift your eyes now toward the north.” So I lifted my eyes toward the north, and there, north of the altar gate, was this image of jealousy in the entrance.”

God revealed to Ezekiel the prophet about the abomination that was going on in the temple. Many had indulged in sin and that made them blind to those things.

Only by seeking the Lord and remaining in Him causes the plans of the enemy to be exposed to be set free.

We have become the dwelling place of God in Christ - the temple of the Holy Spirit.

The enemy lies at the gate of our hearts and minds to gain entrance.

The enemy waits and entices people to open the door with his sins.

The way to resist the devil who has already been defeated is by seeking God, remaining in Him and God will tell us what to do.

Notice it was the Lord who asked Ezekiel to lift up his eyes to see those things so that he can address those issues.

Don’t spend time searching for the enemy, spend time to know God and remain in His presence.

By remaining in Christ and in His truth, we will keep the enemy in his defeated position. Then we follow His directions to be pruned and be redirected.

Our main focus as the new covenant believer is Christ Jesus. Keep looking unto Him, keep seeing ourselves in the way He had made us.

Then the word of God will shape us to who we are in Him and will keep us aligned according to His image and likeness.

Only lift our eyes to see the enemy as we are directed by God by His word and His Spirit.

Let us keep rejecting every enemy that lies at the door by focusing on Jesus and remaining in Him.
