Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus painted a picture of the chosen people who rejected the invitation of the Lord but the invitation was open for all to come in.

Jesus came to His own but His own rejected Him. But now through Christ, we all have the privilege to become children of God and enjoy His fullness.

What makes the people worthy to enter the wedding feast?

It is not the famous, the rich, not the poor, not the sick or healthy ones who are able to enter the wedding feast but it is by invitation.

It shows that it is not because of who they are but because of whom the parents, the bride and groom want.

We are all invited to participate in the divine nature of Christ, to become children of the most High God.

It is not about how we have prepared ourselves, not about how worthy we are or how good we have kept the commandments. It is purely by the love of God who wants none to perish but have everlasting life.

Those who enter from the byway and from the streets do need to understand to wear the robe to remain in the feast.

We know that there are people who came in without the robe and were cast out. The robe symbolizes the invitation.

We have been given the robe of righteousness, it is by faith totally resting in the finished work of Christ.

Stepping out of that is stepping out of the invitation.

Which means we have chosen to walk in our own way, believing in ourselves and by doing that we have put off the robe Jesus has put on us.

Let us stay covered in Christ, remain in Him, in His grace, and favor and believe in all that Jesus has done for us.

Blessings
