“Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:”

The apostle Peter wrote to the faithful followers of Christ.

Peter started his greetings by saying that to those WHO HAVE OBTAINED like precious faith.

Faith that is by the righteousness of God. This is not a faith developed by our own effort but given by God.

These followers were known for their faithfulness to walk in the faith of the Son of God.

This means every belief system and way of life is aligned according to what they have received in Christ.

The faith that they have is not in their abilities but ait in what Jesus had done.

Every believer HAS OBTAINED like precious faith. This faith is given by God as we receive Jesus into our lives.

We start to function in this faith when we align ourselves to believe what Jesus has obtained for us.

Now we are the children of God, an heir of the kingdom, a citizen of heaven, and an ambassador of God here on earth.

God has equipped each one of us who believe in Christ to take on anything that comes our way.

Some believers align themselves with Christ and have fruits that display the image of God through their lives.

Some other believers have all the same benefits yet don’t bring themselves to alignment to what Jesus Christ has done therefore they don’t see much of the fruits in their lives.

The reason God wants us to align ourselves with Jesus is because our full potential that was lost with Adam and Eve’s disobedience was restored through Jesus’s obedience to His Father.

Now only in Christ Jesus, all this fullness of our life can be lived.

This is the reason there is no other way but only through believing in Jesus and in all that He has done.

Let us be as one who has obtained like precious faith, as one who has it all in Christ Jesus and gives Him all the glory.
