“Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness,”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Israelites' hearts were hardened because they did not trust God and His word but they let their mind and heart be dominated by the pressures of the world.

Every promise of God that we have would be tested by situations in our lives.

We will only know how much we have grabbed hold of the truth with the unfolding of our lives.

A majority can quote the scripture, preach a sermon, and encourage others in it.

All those things are good and are necessary for our growth.

But the ultimate goal of that promise is for that promise to be one in us. That it becomes who we are and every part of us is changed according to the promises that we have believed.

The goal of every promise of God is that we start to reject everything that is of a lie, deceit, greed, envy, bitterness, and pride.

Then the promises of God begin to bear fruit that resembles God and His love.

When we don’t pass the test of standing on God’s promises and if we keep pushing away what God has said, it will start to harden our hearts.

Little by little our refusal to trust God and His word grow to a place of a hardened heart.

That is why God’s word says today if we hear His voice, harden not your heart.

God has made the promised land for the first generation. God made a way for all of them to come into His glory to worship Him but they all chose according to their own circumstances.

That glory that was upon Moses I believe was meant to be on everyone that came down from that mountain.

Instead of coming down with the glory of God on them, they all were given a law that they could not keep.

Now Christ is able to keep the law and fulfill it. He took us all in Him and raised us up to sit together in His glory.

Obedience to His word is entering and living in His glory.

Let us keep our hearts receptive to His word so that we will walk in His glory.

Blessings
