‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Everything that Jesus did on earth is a lesson, it is the image, it is the way and the truth for us to see, hear and do.

Jesus was asleep in the storm for a reason.

Jesus called the disciples by saying to them follow me and I will MAKE you fishers of man.

Everything that was happening with the disciples is a lesson - Jesus making disciples.

When the storm came to the extreme and started to fill the boat with water.

Jesus was teaching them to use what they have learned from Him. To use the authority, power and dominion as Christ did.

So when the storm hit them, instead of speaking to the storm by the power of God, they started to wake God up to do what was meant for His disciples to do.

Today we are in a far better place than the disciples, for we have God living in us by His Spirit.

Therefore, we don’t run to God and ask Him to take care of the storms of life.

Instead, we are to take the authority, power and dominion that Christ has placed over our lives.

We are to speak to the storms of life and they will have to obey as they obeyed Christ Jesus.

Jesus taught all these for the disciples to follow after Him and do what He did.

Nothing has changed and that is why God did not ask to make converts who would rely on God to do everything and remain powerless.

Instead, God told us to make disciples so that we live a powerful life through Him as His disciples.

We must not let fear change our rights as God's children, don’t let the storm tell us what to do.

Instead we need to speak to the storms to be still as we fulfil God’s plans.

A firefighter who is equipped will fight the fire but if they are not equipped, they will flee the fire.

We have more people in the body of Christ running away from storms of life instead of standing our ground and pushing the enemy away.

This is because we don’t know what we have already received.

Let us rise up, pick up our authority and keep doing what Jesus did here on earth.

Blessings
