I John 1:6 NKJV

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

I John 1:6 NKJV

The Bible clearly shows us that we are children of the light and we partake of His divine nature.

This is because in Him there is no darkness, therefore we should also walk as in the light and eliminate darkness by renewing our mind in His word.

The word of God tells us that if we say we have fellowship with God who is the light and walk in darkness, we lie. This is because whom we take time to fellowship with will affect our lives.

If we say we are in fellowship with God who is light, we would not display darkness but light.

Saying and praying alone would not bring about the light but practising the truth will. We do need to pray, meditate and recite the promises of God but it must be accompanied by practice.

This means we act upon the word of God and we challenge our current state to move forward in the things of God.

We set time and resources to put God's word to practice. Only by practising the word, we can shine the light of God in us.

The more we practice the truth, the more we become effective as a light of God in this world.

The world is getting darker but God has promised that grace abounds even greater. So let us be practising believers and shine the glorious light of Christ to the world.
