Deuteronomy 11:18 NKJV

“Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.

Deuteronomy 11:18 NKJV

The principle is the same in the old or the new covenant and that is to obey God and do as He has told us to do.

It is for us to lay hold of the promises of God into our hearts and minds so that our hearts and minds are conformed to God and His plans.

If we don't lay hold of God and His promises, we are automatically going to lay hold of other things that are most likely going to go against God's plan and purpose.

The word used here " frontlets between your eyes" means to let God's word be the focus on leading our directions in life.

Every storm of life can leave us with scars for life that will haunt us or it can be a stepping stone for a greater life in Christ.

The basic principle is this. Whatever we set our eyes and our attention on is going to deliver the results.

If we cannot forgive and let go, that means our focus and attention is in the wrong place and not in what Christ has done for us.

God has empowered us with His ability in order for us to fight a good fight of faith, with our attention and focus on Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let us keep our eyes on Christ and on His promises and not on the things we hear, feel and see in our surroundings.
