Acts 17:4 NKJV
“And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas.”
Acts 17:4 NKJV
Paul and Silas were preaching in Thessalonica. They had a different audience listening to Paul explaining the scriptures.
Paul was teaching and showing them about the Savior from the Old Testament.
The birth, the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ prove that He is the Messiah.
Many devout men and women believed in the gospel that Paul preached.
This shows us that there is power in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Paul was not relying on his persuasive words to reach the people.
Paul knew that there is power to touch lives in the message of Jesus and his trust is in the gospel.
Each one of us, as a believer, has been entrusted with the same message and with the same power.
God is not looking for men and women who have the eloquence of speech but those who just speak, share, teach and preach the gospel.
For the gospel has all the power to bring conviction and hope to all mankind.
Many will open their hearts to the Lord yet some may not but we don’t have the right to deny Jesus for them.
Each one has their choice of what they want to do with their decisions, but for us, we keep preaching.
Let us keep sharing Jesus to all and keep giving people opportunities to receive Him as their Lord and Saviour.
Blessings
