Acts 2:27 NKJV
“For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.”
Acts 2:27 NKJV
Peter quoted the Psalm of David and pointed to the promise that is fulfilled in Christ Jesus.
For what David declared and believed has been fulfilled through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
David did not see that promise come to pass in his lifetime but it was all fulfilled after Jesus rose from the dead.
David died believing because he knows that no matter how it may look like in the natural, God’s promises will eventually be established for him.
Peter preached that if David who before knowing Christ or heard about what He had done, had this hope in him, how much more we who have heard and seen the manifestation of His power in our own lives.
The enemy wants us to look at self but God wants us to look at Jesus Christ.
The enemy wants us to look at our body but God wants us to look at ourselves in the mirror of His word and through His image.
It is between who we are in the flesh versus who we are in the spirit.
We are called to live in the spirit and follow Christ all the days of our lives.
We are holy in Christ. Therefore, we have passed from death to life and we live in Him.
Let us keep our faith in Christ, keep seeing ourselves in the spirit and live as a new creation.
Blessings
