“The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.”

John the Baptist spoke that Jesus is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and for them to behold Him.

They are many good leaders just like John the Baptist, their role is to point everything to Jesus and what He has done for all mankind.

When we do hear that message that points everything to Jesus and to live in all that He has done, we should take heart and follow Him.

To follow Jesus is to take on everything He has done. John’s disciples had to leave John and follow Jesus.

We need to leave behind all religious beliefs that is contrary to what Jesus has done and follow Him.

To follow Christ is to deny self, to deny self is to follow Christ. Either way the focus is not in spending time denying self but the focus is following Christ Jesus.

Jesus died for us on that cross to take away the penalty of sin, the image of sickness and poverty.

He has given to us all a new life that is not of this world.

Let us start conforming our soul and body to who we already are in Christ Jesus.
