Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭113‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“I hate the double-minded, But I love Your law.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭113‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The psalmist declared his delight is the word of the Lord.

He kept it and lived by it.

The psalmist said that he hated the double-minded.

Double-minded means to have a double opinion of one thing. Since the psalmist is speaking of the word of God, therefore, the psalmist hates when people have double opinions about the word of God.

We too often have a double opinion about God’s promises when we don’t have the evidence in the natural.

The psalmist is challenging us to have an absolute trust and be single-minded towards God’s word.

To love the promises of God is to be single-minded towards what He has said.

The enemy always wants to steal, kill and destroy the seed of God’s word.

To be double-minded on the seed of God’s promises is the way satan steals away the truth.

Faith is an absolute trust in God and in what He has said without wavering.

This assurance comes about when one takes time to know their God and have a close relationship with Him.

The nature of God that is revealed by Jesus to all mankind is our compass, our guide and our truth.

We need to see the truth in the light of Jesus Christ, Son of the living God.

Through Christ, we can see the truth clearly and be single-minded to trust Him.

Let us love the Lord wholeheartedly, with everything within us and bless His holy Name.
