Psalms 22:16 NKJV
“For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet;”
Psalms 22:16 NKJV
David wrote this prophecy one thousand years ago about Jesus's crucifixion.
The death penalty by crucifixion did not exist in David’s time and was unknown to him, yet David had a glimpse of what our Saviour and Lord would experience.
Jesus was surrounded by wicked people during the crucification.
Gentiles were called dogs in those days, which was so unheard of in David’s time.
Yet all the scriptures were fulfilled when Jesus was crucified on that cross just as David described one thousand years before.
The Bible is God's word written by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
If we believe and trust God and what He has said about us, we too can see the fulfilment of His word in our own lives.
Jesus said let not my will but yours be done. That is one of the keys, "Not not my will but Yours be done”.
God’s will is for all mankind to be saved and to be completely restored back to His image to carry out His purpose.
When our desires are changed to His, when Jesus becomes the center and focus of our lives,
we will be seeing the manifestation of His promises in our lives.
God’s word will come to pass to those who would come into agreement with Him.
Let us be people who would say yes and amen to all that Jesus has done for our lives.
Blessings
