Luke1:19 NKJV
“And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.”
Luke1:19 NKJV
When Zacharias saw the angel, he was afraid but the angel told him not to be afraid. The angel said that his prayers were heard.
Once again the angel highlighted the reason for the visitation is to announce to Zacharias the good news.
Zacharias persistently prayed but had no faith that it will come to pass. He prayed that he will have a child but when the angel announced it’s going to happen Zacharias said how can this be.
Do we really expect to see our prayers answered? Or are we praying because that is what we do when we don’t have something.
Do we pray because that’s what we are supposed to do as a believer but don’t believe that it’s actually going to happen?
Or do we pray because God has given us the power to call things to come to pass in His Name.
Many of our prayers have the form of godliness because we don’t really believe it’s going to happen.
Therefore, prayers become a comfort to lean on and not something that we believe will come to pass.
God has given us His kingdom and His power to change earth according to heaven.
We are to believe that the words that come out of our mouth is powerful and will create things that are not there.
The angel had to take away Zacharias' speech for a time until the promised is birthed.
Why is that? Because Zacharias has the power of his tongue to destroy his very blessings.
Therefore, it’s important for us to believe, to speak the same words that God has spoken at all times and believe God’s promises will come to pass.
Blessings
