“The light of the righteous rejoices, But the lamp of the wicked will be put out.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The light of the righteous is God, as stated in John 1:4, and God is the light of men.

When we stand according to who God is and according to His word, we will rejoice because we will have His results.

The wicked, on the other hand, stand with evil and eventually go completely blind to the things that give life.

In the old tabernacle, the candlestick needs to be cleaned and trimmed daily.

They clean and trim because if they don’t, dirt and burnt wicks can cause the light to dim and can eventually cause the light to go off.

We who are the new tabernacle need to feed on His word and keep renewing our minds daily according to His word.

We do this so that we are filled with the knowledge of His glory to fulfil our assignments here on earth.

The way the candlestick kept burning in the old tabernacle was to take out the dirt and cut the burnt wicks.

The way that we keep our fire burning as the new Tabernacle is to keep filling ourselves with His word and pray in the spirit.

That does all the cleaning and trimming and it keeps us moving forward in God.

Let everything that is in right standing with what Jesus has done shine through our lives.
