I Corinthians 13:10 NKJV

But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. I Corinthians 13:10 NKJV
Spiritual growth is a journey and along this journey, we go through processes, experiences, regrets, achievements that help to shape us for the future. Paul is teaching the Corinthians about many aspects of life. Growing in stages, step by step and from glory to glory. He talks about both the spiritual and the natural aspects of our growth. As there is an old covenant and a new covenant. In all these processes of growing, one thing Paul has taught us to do which made him walk this journey strong till the end is forgetting those things which are behind and pressing forward to the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. When God reveals something to us spiritually, mentally or physically, we need to build and grow from that revealed knowledge of God. This sometimes means doing away with some of the old things that God has once revealed. God performed miracles for the children of Israel and gave them manna to eat but it should be eaten only on that day and not to be carried forward for the next day except on Saturday, which they collect for Sunday as well. This is a symbolic picture of God's desire to give them fresh food, relational experience and blessing. But if we hold on to the old, then we cannot enjoy the new that God desires to give. One of the most important things in life is to move forward by deciding to let go of the past and learn to embrace the new. If we keep thinking, looking back at the bad things, failure or even keep looking at the good, it may cause us to lose the blessings God has set for us in the future. The decision of life cannot be made on past failures. We must make decisions based on what God is leading us now. We can be easily manipulated by the enemy in our mind with events and thoughts of the past which will derail us from our future destiny in God. Every part that God revealed to us has its season to prepare us for the next steps for our lives. Let us walk in the new, live in the new and share the things God is doing NOW in our midst.
