II Chronicles 20:12 NKJV

"O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” II Chronicles 20:12 NKJV

King Jehoshaphat heard the news of the Ammonites coming against him with a big army. King Jehoshaphat turned to the Lord to seek Him for direction. Jehoshaphat began to call a fast for the whole nation to start seeking the Lord. King Jehoshaphat humbled himself before the Lord and acknowledged that God is the only One that can save them all. In this chapter, we can read that King Jehoshaphat read through or reminded himself of the deliverance that God gave to their fathers in battle. And in this verse, King Jehoshaphat declared that as a nation, their eyes are on the Lord. This is a powerful statement of the position King Jehoshaphat had chosen. Instead of looking at the vast army, he turned his eyes unto the Lord. Whatever we are going through today, however high the mountain may look or no matter how deep the valley is, just remember that the Lord who has brought us this far is more than able to bring us till the end. We do have a part to play and that is fixing our eyes on Jesus who is the author of life, our Lord and our Savior. The sound of the army marching may be too loud to ignore but we must strengthen our self by fixing our eyes on the Lord. We may even need to be facing the enemy face to face but we must remember the battle is the Lord's. Be always worshipping and rejoicing in the Lord, singing, thinking and meditating on the goodness of God. Let us see through the eyes of Jesus and stand firm in the promises that was given to us. Blessings
