but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, I Corinthians 1:23 NKJV

These groups of people were serving the Lord with such excellence. Contention is an enemy that can creep in and destroy the unity in the body. Paul was writing to the Corinthians so that they will resolve this issue with contention. The heated disagreement came about because they were looking at their positions in the natural, wanting to be above someone else. Paul described in this chapter that we all need to prioritise one thing and that is the message of Jesus Christ. The talk of who knows who and what connections we have need to cease. Our eyes and heart need to be on Christ. Preaching Christ crucified also means that all the deeds of the flesh is dead. It means every achievement that is of the flesh has no value in the supernatural kingdom. To the so-called intellectual, the message of Christ is foolishness, to some a stumbling block because they have their agendas but to those who have received Christ, it is life and life more abundantly. We must not give in to the flesh, every time the flesh wants to take over. We need to remind ourselves that we are a spirit being and live in the supernatural kingdom of God. We must not let any system of the world to change the direction and the message of Christ. There are many systems in the world, some are in line and some are not. We must be strong to stand up in the Lord and continue with the message of Christ. Change needs to come into our lives, to our society and nation. Change takes place when we start to live the gospel of Christ. Let us take our place in Christ and shine His true light to the world. Blessings
