Jude 1:3 NKJV

Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Jude wrote to warn believers to encourage them to contend, stand strong, build and fight from the substance they have received through Christ.

There are all kinds of beliefs, philosophies and doctrines out there in the world that try to get into the church of Jesus Christ.

Believers need to know their substance in God and what has been given to them and fight the battle in the Spirit.

Otherwise, they will start to fight not against the works of the devil but against the saints and be dividing the church and becoming a stumbling block to their own community.

We as the body of Christ need to function in Christ and through Christ against everything that the enemy throws at us.

We come against everything that satan tries to bring into our lives, our family and our community. The way to do it is by being strong in the Lord TOGETHER.

Every precious promise of God reflects His beauty, His character, His love and His hope. His promises will add to us strength, power, love and resources.

Jude has seen how the enemy has come in distracting them to give in to the things of the flesh over the promises of God and His image.

We need to stand on all that God has done for us and through that identity in Christ we guard, we fight and we live our lives.

Let us be strong in the faith we have received through Christ our Lord and display the kingdom of God wherever we are.
