I Corinthians 9:24 NKJV
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
I Corinthians 9:24 NKJV
The word of God encourages us all to run towards the finish line with dedication, focus and endurance. Having a great start in life is wonderful but it is all about how we finish the race.
A good athlete listens to their coach, gives attention and applies what has been taught so that the athlete can maximise every strength that is in them.
As believers in Christ, we too need to be coached, trained and have someone to bring out the best in us.
The Church is a place where we stir one another, sharpen each other and strengthen each other to reach our purpose in life.
We need to give attention and run with God's vision for our life. We cannot be passive and waste time and resources on something that does not add up to God's purpose in our lives.
In order to run towards the vision that God has given us, we need to lay aside everything that will pull us down and embrace everything that will build us up in God.
Like an athlete, we will be challenged, pushed, and pressured so that our weak muscles will be strong for the race.
In the same way, God will allow us to go through a process of challenges so that we will leap in faith and go through each pressure strongly.
So when the storms of life hit us, we will stand strong in Christ our Lord.
Let us all run to finish the race that has been set before us with the power, love and grace of God.
Blessings
