“Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭51‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When Jesus breathed His last breath on earth, the veil in the temple that separated the presence of God was torn from top to bottom.

This indicates that the way into the most holy place was not only made available for all who will believe in Him but also becomes a place where every follower of Christ functions from.

Functioning from this place becomes a foundational stand for all followers of Christ.

One of the main reasons God cannot live in men in the old covenant is because of the sinful nature of every man. But once the penalty of sin is paid by Jesus, we all are born again through Christ to the nature of God.

Now since we become the righteousness of God, we dwell in Him and He is in us. We live in Him, move in Him and have our being in Him.

We need to learn to wear this new robe of righteousness.

We need to learn this new mind of Christ and the new culture of His kingdom.

The old has to go in order for the new to flourish. It is not just about our old life but it’s about our old nature to the new nature in Christ.

In the old covenant, people went into the temple to offer a sacrifice that is killed for their sins.

In the new covenant, people come out of the temple bringing God’s glory and power to the world.

If the way we pray indicates us to go in, get something, or ask God to do it then we are still functioning like the old covenant.

But if our prayer displays His power, heals the sick, cast out the devil, and establishes His kingdom here on earth then we are functioning in the new covenant.

What comes out of our mouths is what builds inside of us. No matter how we say we know God, what we say reveals our true relationship with Him.

Let us build ourselves up in Christ by putting into practice this new robe of righteousness and shine for Jesus.

Blessings
