Mark‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus called His twelve disciples and commissioned them to go out and cast out the devil. This is like the assignment before graduation.

But it is important to note that before Jesus sent out the twelve, Jesus had the most unfruitful result in His entire ministry.

In His own hometown, people did not believe in Him and not many miracles took place there.

In the natural, we would wait and find the time or another place to boost our faith and when it is the peak of success, then we send out the students.

But Jesus sent out the twelve after a so-called unfruitful event because He knew that the enemy will discourage them from going out to do the work.

The enemy knew that his time is up because the twelve are going to go into the city and cast out his dominion over people.

The enemy knows when we are ready, he will try to discourage us, give us news that will sidetrack us, and try to hinder us from going to do His work.

Many followers of Jesus have experienced a setback just before an event, ministry, or when they are just about to share the message of God.

This is the reason we don’t walk by sight but by faith in Jesus, for He who calls is faithful to do it.

There is always something that God wants us to step out and do. Often at the same time, there will be many reasons that will come up to make us think that it is the most reasonable thing not to do at that time. Yet we must do it by faith and leave the rest to the Lord.

Opposition, persecution, setbacks, and failures must not stop us from doing what the Lord has told us to do.

Let us go by faith in the authority and power of God.

Blessings
