“That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand by your faith [as believers understanding the truth of Christ’s deity]. Do not be conceited, but [rather stand in great awe of God and] fear [Him];”

Time and again we have read that many do not enter the rest of God’s provision because of unbelief.

Here Paul encouraged the believers not to repeat the same mistake that cost them their breakthroughs but to stand strong in Christ.

Paul taught us to understand the deity of Christ that He is the one true God who came into the world in a human form.

So that He can take all who would believe in Him back to a supernatural form as a child of God.

Paul continued to encourage us to be built in all that Christ has done with such reverence and guard it, not to lose it.

If we believe anything that is not according to what Christ has done, we are like broken branches that have no life in it.

Just like the branch when it’s broken, we can’t really see the effect of it until time passes.

Sometimes we think it’s ok to believe certain things and do certain things but if it is not in line with what Christ has done, it will slowly kill every life to grow in God.

It’s a reverential fear not to lose sight of what Christ has done and to keep check that our belief system is constant in line with Christ.

As we continue to fellowship with God daily all these things become natural and easy to identify.

We are more than what we can see from the outside, we are made in God’s image, filled with God’s power and to do Kingdom work.

Let us cast off every unbelief and believe with all of our hearts that God’s word will come to pass no matter what.
