‭‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

They all marveled at the words that came out from Jesus. They even bore witness and felt the grace of God.

Yet they would choose to put what they knew above what Jesus had spoken. They rejected Jesus not because He said something wrong but because they saw His earthly status.

So many of us are bound up in disobedience not because we don’t believe what Jesus said, not because we are not convicted but because we look at what is around us instead of looking at His word.

We sometimes let things around us overwhelm us. That is the strategy of the enemy.

We know a lot of God’s promises.

We know what God has said but we choose to fear, panic, and be discouraged.

The way we keep ourselves walking in the will of God is by looking unto Him all the time.

We need to let His Word rule over every picture the enemy wants to paint before us.

We must not be swept away into believing a lie but stand strong in the foundation that is Jesus Christ.

Every word of God should not only bring conviction, or bring knowledge to our hearts but also should direct our responses daily.

The way we respond daily will tell if God’s promises have become one with us.

We need to keep rehearsing, keep exercising, and keep putting God’s word into action.

Let us plant God’s word in our hearts and let our feet be rooted in Christ as we walk in His love.
