“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,”

Jesus teaches us the way of life, the way to forgive, and the way to be a life-giving agent of His kingdom.

The key to forgiving and blessing our enemies is by hearing God’s promises.

If we don’t give an ear to the word of God or listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to forgive someone who has hurt us.

Our carnal reasonings will find it hard to forgive or bless our enemies. But if we let God’s word enlighten our minds and hearts, then we will see an opportunity to be the life of God to our enemies.

We hear Jesus pray to the Father to forgive them for they did not know what they were doing.

It is very obvious that the people who hated Jesus deliberately wanted to hurt Him. The plan they plot to wrongly accuse Him.

Jesus sees beyond the carnal senses. He sees them as ones who have been manipulated by the devil and bound as a slave of satan.

By forgiving and blessing them, we bring satan's work to no effect, therefore leaving satan and his plans destroyed.

What satan meant to stir up, cause strife and pain, will be replaced with conviction, love, and hope for redemption that leads to salvation.

We are agents of forgiveness, not bitterness. We are restorers and not the one who brings death.

Once again, the key is to give an ear to God and His word so that we can see and understand through His eyes and heart.

Let us forgive and bless all those who hate us and make room for redemption, spark the life of God, and hope for the hopeless.
