II Corinthians 10:7 NKJV
“Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ’s, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ’s, even so we are Christ’s.”
II Corinthians 10:7 NKJV
Paul faced some critics from self-appointed apostles who bring attention to his physical appearance instead of his spiritual insight.
Paul challenged them by emphasising the importance of living in Christ and not just speaking about Christ.
The critics didn’t even realise that the church in Corinth was started by the apostle Paul and here they were challenging him.
Satan always tries to get our attention to focus on the outward appearance. Therefore, we must not be taken up by the persuasive words of men nor their appearance.
We need to see the fruit of God’s Holy Spirit at work in our lives as a testament to the world.
It is important that we guard our minds and hearts against judging people from their outward appearance so we see the fruit of the Holy Spirit that is flowing in their lives.
The most important thing that we need to do is to continue to grow in Christ and display His life through ours.
And not wasting time debating who is better than who and accusing people of what they look like.
We need to honour and respect all who have plowed the ground before us and be grateful for all the blessings we have received from them.
God wants us united in love and not divided by our own opinions.
Let us keep believing in God and in His word so that we can continue to grow in Him.
Blessings
