“But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine:”

‭‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul is teaching Titus how to bring sound doctrine to everyone. Sound doctrine needs to be taught with care and respect.

There is a great need to bring sound doctrines. This means there are many unsound doctrines in our midst.

Teachings that are tied to traditions and beliefs that are not according to the word of God.

What is sound doctrines? Everything that Jesus laid, established and purposed is sound doctrine.

Honouring the people God has placed before us, above us, and those who are under our care need to be taken into consideration when presenting the Gospel without compromising with the truth of God’s word.

Paul is teaching Titus to be an effective minister of God’s word by understanding the people group.

Therefore Titus can be effective to coach each one from their place of maturity and their willingness to learn.

We too as ministers of the gospel must bring the message of the gospel as it is, in love and care for their growth.

Compromising the truth for the sake of pleasing people will cause them to stumble and fall.

But bringing the truth in love without compromising the truth will build them and strengthen them to face challenges in life.

Therefore we are to speak that which is sound, in line, and according to what Jesus has done and accomplished for us.
