Zephaniah‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!”

The Lord spoke through His prophet, calling His children to rejoice, sing and to be glad while their nation is going through calamities.

They have been conquered by foreign armies, they were scattered, fearful and disoriented in many ways.

God called His Children, His church as daughters of Zion. Reminding them their identity and a people who have a covenant with a living God.

He calls out the Zion in them, He calls out the elect of God from within them and get them to shout for joy.

For they are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a people who have been called from darkness into His marvellous light.

God wants His children to lift their eyes away from what they are going through and focus on what He has prepared for them.

What God had prepared is found in the identity of who they are in God.

Today don’t let the troubles of life overshadow our future and the covenant we have in God.

Don’t let our circumstances dim the light of God’s glory and power that is always within us through Christ.

Let us sing for joy, shout it out loud that our souls be surrounded by God’s promises and His glory.

Praise Jesus till all the troubles disappear as we behold our creator who formed everything into being.

Let our hearts and minds be fill with the wonders of God’s mighty promises and power.
