Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus marveled at the faith of this centurion and said to those who followed Him," I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel. "

That is a very big statement coming from Jesus towards a non-Jew. This person believed in the authority that Jesus carried.

He recognised that Jesus is functioning under an authority that permitted Him to heal the sick and the centurion had no doubt at all in that authority.

The centurion's faith is counted by Jesus as great because of the knowledge and assurance he had on what Jesus was appointed to do.

Total belief in the authority and power of Jesus. The centurion know that it’s not going to be anything else except trusting Jesus and in the authority He is functioning.

The one who had been following Jesus did not see Jesus as this centurion saw Jesus.

How we see Jesus, how we trust Him and how we carry ourself in Christ Jesus will determine the outcome of our expectations.

It is a simple trust in Jesus’s authority and power made this gentile’s faith so great.

How are we trusting God? Some trust in their fasting, their prayers and their sacrifices. Fasting is good for us to be more in tuned with God but can never attain the gift God has given.

We need to believe that Jesus is all we need. We need to understand that it is by grace we have received all spiritual gifts.

Eternal life, blessings and abundant life. Freedom from sin and death is all because Jesus gave it to us as we believe in Him.

Many work their faith to be great instead of trusting Jesus and in His power and authority.

It is better to hear Jesus say great is your faith because you trusted me than those who try to twist the hand of God.

Let us trust God, believe in Him that He is the authority, He is the power and He has appointed us today to display His kingdom.

Blessings
