Hebrews 12:8 NKJV
“But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.”
Hebrews 12:8 NKJV
The writer of Hebrews tells us that a son or daughter of the Lord goes through chastening. Chastening here does not mean punishment but correction.
God’s children always receive the word of God to change their thoughts, hearts, and their lives.
This proves our identity as a child of God. Our Father in Heaven always trains us through His word and through His Spirit.
Every child that yields to His word and His leading is a child that accepts his identity in God.
The Bible teaches us that every time correction comes to us, it changes us from glory to glory.
In the kingdom of God, more corrections mean more blessings that will help us reflect more of God’s glory.
So to be trained and be corrected in the kingdom of God is such a blessing that proves that God has begotten us.
We live in a world and culture of boasting and self-achievements. To be corrected is seen as a failure that someone is not good enough for the task.
But it is the opposite in the kingdom of God. When God reveals something to us and corrects us. It is always to bring out our great potential, abilities, and capabilities.
God’s correction always leads us to victory and productivity. There is nothing to lose but everything from God is a great gain.
Let us give ourselves to be taught by the Lord through His word. Open to corrections and be transformed from glory to glory.
Blessings
