Proverbs 1:33 NKJV
Everyone desires to dwell in safety and in peace. Yet time has proven that there is nothing that can guarantee a hundred percent safety here in this world.
Every natural thing will be affected by the situation and circumstances that happen in this world.
There is only one place that we can have security and safety that cannot be affected by the things of this world and that is in God.
He is the Rock of our foundation, our shield and a shelter from every form of evil.
The bible declares that that in the beginning was the word and the word was God. When we listen to God’s word, we dwell in Him.
To dwell in God is to dwell in His promises. His promises bring true security and safety.
When we hold on to God’s promises, every storm of life that comes will not be able to bring us down.
We may feel the heat, we may see the water rising and the storms blowing around us but we will not be harmed.
The rebellious children of God in Egypt walked free from pestilences not because they were faithful to God but they did what God said.
When all the Egyptians were affected by the pestilences but all who obeyed God’s word were kept safe in the midst of terrible plagues.
When we listen to God and obey Him, it becomes our shield and shelter that causes us to dwell without fear of the evil one.
We are called to dwell in Him. To dwell in His word and enjoy the safety, protection and peace that no one in this world can give.
God is our refuge and our strength. Those who trust in Him will not be shamed but will see the deliverance of the Lord.
Let us dwell in God by listening to His word and follow His directions.
