“But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.”

Jesus spoke of the things to come. He revealed to us that people will persecute us, reject us and come against us due to His name.

Jesus is teaching and revealing these things to us so that when it takes place in our lives we will not be offended or be discouraged.

This is so important for us to know because many fall away and get hurt over things that will come to pass.

We are all on this journey together and we are learning and changing every day. We make mistakes like others do, we speak things that we shouldn’t speak and do things that we shouldn’t be doing.

We all need the grace of God to be nurtured, to be conformed to His image and likeness. We will cut short our walk with God if we live in offense.

What people do should not take us by surprise. Instead, it should affirm the things the Lord is doing in and through our lives.

They persecuted Jesus and now we are representing Him in this world. Those who do not want to be in line with His truth will stand against us.

Therefore, do not be alarmed by those things but begin to praise the Lord so that we can be counted worthy to display Jesus to the world.

Let us not forget that we are the ambassadors for Christ and His kingdom here on earth.

Let us stay strong no matter what happens and what people say about us. Stand in Jesus till the end.
