Isaiah 40:3 NKJV
The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Isaiah 40:3 NKJV
This prophecy was dated 700 years before Christ and it was fulfilled by John the Baptist. John was sent by God to prepare the hearts of the people to receive Christ.
Today the Holy Spirit of God convicts our hearts to follow Jesus and believe in His word.
Preparation is an important part of our faith. If we don't prepare ourselves to follow Christ, chances are we will not.
To be prepared is a daily practice for every single event. We prepare to go to school every day, we prepare to go to work every day and there ate many other occasions that we prepare for.
To be prepared is not something new. We all know how to prepare ourselves for an occasion but how about being intentional to prepare ourselves to follow the Lord?
We are to set our hearts and minds every day to follow Christ, giving our attention to His word so that we can walk in His ways.
We know that God is first in our lives but do we prepare ourselves through our actions and thoughts that He is the first?
The good news is we are called to live in His strength, wisdom and goodness. Therefore, we need to follow His direction to enjoy it.
Let us prepare our hearts and our minds to follow Jesus Christ every day.
