‭‭‭‭‭‭I John‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This scripture is not saying that born-again believers will never sin again.

This speaks about the seed that is in us being of God. Therefore, we will not make sin as part of our lifestyle.

No one who is born of God deliberately, knowingly, and habitually practices sin.

This is because the seed that is in us is of God and only produces fruits that resemble God.

God’s seed contains His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character and it remains permanently in us.

To be born again means we are born of God, from above, spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose.

Therefore, to habitually live in sin is not a characteristic of a born-again believer.

Born-again believers will always live in the conviction of God’s word, His presence, and His love.

God’s children live habitually a holy life. They will resist sin and will not be comfortable to live a sinful life.

The seed in us which is from God will spring out of God’s righteousness. If we give attention and yield ourselves to Him, living water will flow out of within us.

To habitually live in sin will cause us to be dull to the voice of God and reject His truth that is designed to set us free.

We don’t live in sin not because we have to be holy. We don’t live in sin because we have been made holy and holiness has become our nature.

The seed in us is our new identity and we live according to God’s image because that is who we are.

To live a holy life is not something we have to try to achieve. Instead, it is a privilege Jesus made for us to live in holiness.

Knowledge of who we are in Christ will help us and empower us to live out God’s presence.

Let us continue to grow the seed of God in us by believing that we are a new creation that carries God’s nature in us.

Blessings
