Galatians 1:15 AMP
“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased” Galatians 1:15 AMP
Paul is exhorting, alerting and correcting the Galatians about the gospel of Christ. This is because he was a strong believer of the Judaism custom and yet has missed the mark. Paul, before his conversion, was so zealous to carry out the tradition but not what his traditions believed in. He was persuaded to hold the custom instead of the truth. The defence Paul is making to the Galatians is the same. We should not be preaching anything else except what Jesus has shown us, revealed to us about the kingdom of God and all that Jesus has accomplished for us. In verse 16 Paul says “to reveal His Son in me”. God called him through grace to reveal His Son in Paul. This is the revelation message of grace, Christ is IN US. empowering us to blossom in every nature of our Father in heaven. From the place and position Jesus raised us up to be and from the freedom that Jesus has purchased for us, that’s the place our heavenly Father wants us to live our lives. Paul is warning people who are preaching against the true message of grace. Everything that man needs to be is in the image of God, already established by Jesus in us in the spirit. Everything that needs to happen is we need to walk in the spirit which is grace and not in the flesh which is works. The work that is required from all believers is to put into action the spirit, the grace that we have received. What we are NOT called to do is to TRY TO ATTAIN what is given by God. Everything that we need to live a spirit-filled life has been given by Jesus, therefore we are to keep sharing, preaching and living the true message of grace. Let us continue to build our lives with the abundant blessings that Jesus has poured into our lives.
