“I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.”

The law was given to mankind to expose sin. That no matter how hard we tried to keep it, we would fail because no dead sacrifice can satisfy the law.

This is the reason why Paul said O what a wretched man I am. But Paul did not stop there.

He continued to say in this verse Thanks be to God that through Christ we are no longer under law to prove our condemnation but under GRACE to prove our salvation.

In Christ we live the law of the Spirit which brings forth His life.

In ourselves, we live the law of the flesh which brings forth the punishment which is death.

Therefore, it is important for us to set our hearts and minds on Christ to live in the law of His Spirit.

There is NO OTHER WAY for believers to live except through Christ and through His Spirit.

So many believers know this yet will still live in the law of the flesh that produces death.

Flesh always wants to prove we can do it our way. No, we can’t achieve it our own way or the way of the flesh.

Christ achieved it all in the flesh because He had no sin, He gave His sinless body as a ransom for our sinful flesh.

Now He gave us the Holy Spirit to live in Him and live by the law of His Spirit.

If we turn to fulfill the law of the flesh, we have denied the works of Jesus.

For He came to take us from death to life. Let us live in the law of His Spirit and manifest His glory on this earth.
