Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul made a bold statement that he will only boast what Christ Jesus has done for him. Paul boasted that Christ Jesus has become the perfect sacrifice for him and there is nothing else above what Christ has done.

Paul taught the Galatians who are practicing Judaism, carrying out religious rituals and observations that Jesus has come and established a new covenant.

Paul taught them to turn from ritual to relationship with God. Teaching them to boast in what Christ has done and the kingdom of God that is within us instead of religious ceremonies.

God deserves all the glory and honour. Therefore, any effort of man to earn God’s gifts and power is considered taking away the glory that belongs to God.

So Paul declared that he will boast of what Jesus has done and accomplished for him to live a victorious life.

Paul also says that the world and its desires have been crucified or dead in him. It has no more effect on him and to the world.

Paul says his desire of the things of the world have been crucified. It has no more influence over his mind and heart.

This truth was set in Paul’s life because Paul boasted about what the Lord has done instead of how the flesh feels or thinks.

We are crucified with Christ Jesus on that cross and we have died to the world and its lust.

Now we are all alive in Christ and in His resurrection power. We are to boast of Christ and who we are in Him.

We need to constantly renew our mind with what we have received in Christ and boast about that in our mind and heart.

Let us lift up Jesus Christ and everything He has done for us.

Blessings
