Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus is teaching us to be good stewards who acknowledge that all things come from God and we are blessed with the opportunity to serve.

This does not mean that we as His children live without expectations. This means that we don’t demand for a reward.

According to the promise of God, we will be far more blessed to be doing things unto the Lord than to demand our blessings.

God has prepared an abundance that is far above what we could ever earn by our own strength.

But this scripture tells us that we do need to work out the power of God that is within us.

It tells us that we need to do our part and leave the reward to God because God has prepared those rewards before the foundation of the world.

The moment we walk in His ways, we will be able to eat the fruit of it. We need to concentrate on doing what God has shown us to do instead of demanding rewards.

We need to serve the Lord wholeheartedly and give our best in everything we do.

Let us put our confidence in God and believe that our blessings come from God and not man.

Let us give our best unto the Lord and see the manifestation of His glory and power in and through Christ our Lord.

Blessings
