John‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.””

‭‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

At the pool of Bethesda, a lame man who had been in that condition for thirty- eight years sat there to be healed.

Jesus walked into that place and asked this lame man, "do you want to be healed?"

In the natural, it is obvious that sick people come to this place to be healed, yet it’s strange that Jesus would ask the question do you want to be healed?

The answer in this verse should have been “yes, I want to be healed”.

This lame man was consumed by the obstacles that he faced every time he attempted to get in the pool when the water was stirred.

He was so consumed with why it won’t happen to him. The Bible says that when hope differed, it makes the heart sick.

Even though this man sat there to be healed, his circumstances have robbed him of his healing.

But when Jesus the healer walked right up to him and said do you want to be healed. He still spoke of his obstacles instead of his miracle.

Jesus said to him rise up and walk and he did, and he walked.

Thank God that this man heard what Jesus said and rose up.

Jesus has spoken and have given His word, His promises to create the miracle we need.

Let our response be yes Lord I received instead of why it won’t happen to us.

Many don’t receive their miracle because they reject it by focusing on their circumstances.

Our loving and faithful God have sent forth His miracles through His word, let us receive and rise up in His word.

Blessings
