Isaiah 57:12 NKJV
I will declare your righteousness and your works, for they will not profit you.
Isaiah 57:12 NKJV
Self-righteousness will not profit us. In fact, it robs us of our rights to be blessed.
Self-righteousness is about earning our place in the kingdom of God, earning our healing, earning the right to walk in the anointing and power of God.
When we say that so and so, who is a good person, believed, walked and dwells in God's presence and loves God but has yet to receive healing or deliverance, that is looking at the situation with self-righteousness.
Our prayer and our love for God does not determine the healing.
What determines the healing is our complete trust in God's goodness and that God is faithful and will do what He says.
For us to receive healing, deliverance and breakthroughs from God is not by trying to justify ourselves with our devotion but to receive from God because of His devotion towards us.
It is by His mercy and grace that has made us the head and not the tail, above and not beneath.
It is by His grace that we have the keys of the kingdom.
It is by His grace that we can experience miracles, signs and wonders.
Self-righteousness can be the biggest block for us to receive the finished work of Christ and to receive healing, restoration and to move in the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Every time we have our flesh involved to justify why we should be healed, we have lost it.
Every time we count all our work as lost, we have found it.
True humility is not about saying we are a nobody.
True humility is to say what Christ has made me to be.
True humility is to say who we are in Christ because of God's grace and love.
We need to stand in all that Jesus has accomplished for us and not what we can accomplish for Jesus.
Our work for God flows out of God's resources and what God has put into our lives.
Let us keep trusting in His grace and love, continuing in all that God has done for us.
Blessings
