Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The disciples had forgotten to bring bread for themselves. They were thinking of their welfare and their personal needs.

Jesus said to them, "Be aware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

The main point Jesus is trying to get across to the disciples is not about how they should not forget to take bread for themselves but about forgetting what Jesus had taught them.

The disciples have seen how Jesus provided not only for them but for the multitude.

Yet they are concerned about themselves and depend on human efforts instead of God.

The Pharisees and Sadducees preach and teach yet they themselves don’t believe in the word of God.

If they believed and followed the word, they would have embraced Jesus for it is written in the law.

The biggest hindrance to growth for believers is after hearing the truth they remain in their old beliefs that had not produced any good things.

We have seen and experienced the love and power of God. We have seen the miracles and favour of God over our lives.

Let us remember and stay strong in Christ, holding on to His truth until the end.

Blessings
