Psalms‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

King David was looking at all the plots and plans of the enemy, the persecution, and being targeted by the enemy.

In the midst of all this,

David would declare what the Lord had decreed of him. King David would rather speak of the covenant he had received from God.

What is important to David is God’s word over his enemies. Therefore, he speaks of it and establishes an atmosphere of faith instead of fear.

David said that he is a child of God and God is his Father. He acknowledges that He has an inheritance that is incorruptible and cannot be defeated.

When we face our challenges, what do we declare?

What do we say and what do we do?

Just like King David, God wants us to declare His promises, His power, His authority, and His love over us.

God wants our hearts and minds to be filled with Him and not with the enemy.

When we get to know our God, we will discover our rights as His children and the privileges that we have as His children.

Then we can stand on it and declare over our lives and create an atmosphere of faith and courage.

We have the choice to create our atmosphere. What we give in will create that atmosphere.

Let us give our lives unto God and unto His promises over us and see our hearts and minds change directions from fear to faith, from hopelessness to having great hope in Christ.

In Christ, we have been begotten and we are God’s own children with a covenant that cannot be undone by any other power.

It all depends on us, and where do we put our eyes, trust, hope, and faith.

Let us speak of what the Lord has decreed over our lives and live vicariously over every situation that comes our way.
