II Corinthians 1:9 NKJV
“Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,”
II Corinthians 1:9 NKJV
Paul, a great minister of the gospel did not have a life without challenges. He faced challenges on every side, from the world, and from fellow believers.
On many occasions, Paul testified about situations where his life was at risk. Yet in all those situations he kept moving on as more than a conqueror.
Paul did not want God’s people to be deceived and get caught unprepared but Paul wants to teach believers to be standing strong especially when times get tough.
Our true relationship with God is known to be true when things get rough in life.
How deep and how far we have anchored our lives in God will be revealed when the challenges of life start to test us.
This is why it is important that we build our spirit man to be strong in His word and spirit so that we can hold our minds and heart together in those challenges.
The enemy would want us to let go of our lifeline when we are being pressured by the challenges but if we hold on, we would claim the victory that has already been won by Jesus for us.
We need to press in to claim what is rightfully ours in Christ Jesus. We need to persist through every challenge and take hold of what God had prepared for each one of us.
If we keep saying it’s too hard, it’s too difficult, it’s not achievable, that will cause us to loosen our grip on God’s promises and eventually will let it slip out of our hands.
But if we keep speaking the word of God and keep saying to ourselves that we can do all things through Christ, then we will be strengthening our grip on the prize.
Eventually, each storm will become a muscle builder that causes us to grip harder to the truth till we see our prize of victory.
Persistence, long-suffering, patience, and endurance are all characteristics that help us to face challenges.
Let us strengthen ourselves in the Lord and stand in His promises.
Blessings
