‭‭II Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,”

‭‭II Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Many have heard Paul’s teachings of the gospel and this group is those who really live it in spirit and in truth.

For this reason, Paul took courage and thanked God for those who heard the gospel and have chosen to walk in the spirit and in truth.

Paul also took the opportunity to encourage the believers to stand for the truth as they faced challenges from the antichrist, those who brought people away from the truth.

Paul gave God the glory for them being an example of true believers because they did not only hear it, and speak it but they were living out the gospel.

Paul said that this is the image and lifestyle that God had ordained for His children that is to live life in the power of His Spirit and in truth.

Walking in the spirit and in truth causes us to see clearly God’s kingdom. It causes us to see beyond the natural.

God’s Spirit helps us to see past our five senses and see through His word and the glory He has set before us.

Living in the spirit means living in the spiritual identity that was revealed to us by God’s word.

It is a fight against our senses versus our spirit. The confusion comes when our five senses try to inform us who we are and what we need versus the one Spirit, one Mind, and the one God who tells us who we are in Him.

This is a powerful truth that will help us to eliminate everything that is of the senses so that we can hold on to the Spirit of God and His truth.

Let us be an encouragement to all believers as we continue to live by the power of God’s Spirit and by His truth.

Blessings
