David has done many things that were wrong in the sight of God and man. He repented by turning himself totally toward God.
David’s repentance was not as what people used to do in the Old Testament or according to the law of the old covenant.
David's repentance was a type of the new covenant.
His repentance was a total change of mind and heart toward the Lord. He did not cry or weep but took his entire self and pointed it back to the way, the truth, and life. He ran to the presence of God and declared who is His God.
David learnt that God will instruct and lead in the way He wants us to go because His eyes are on us 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
He will lead us in His loving kindness and mercy. Jesus did not pronounce judgment on us but He pronounced blessings, righteousness, and the power of the Holy Spirit over us.
This is because He took all judgment upon Himself and He gave us His body to live in.
Believers don’t need to beat themselves down for the mistakes they have done but stir themselves up in the Lord and in the power of His might.
For God loves us and wants the best for each one of us. He desires to lead us in His ways.
God is instructing us every day to live in Him, to keep leaving self behind, detaching ourselves from the attachment to our soul to attaching ourselves more in the spirit.
Let us live in the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him all the days of our lives.
