Acts 9:6 NKJV
“So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
Acts 9:6 NKJV
Saul was persecuting all who believed in Jesus and he had the approval to arrest them.
Saul was a religious leader who knew the Old Testament well and he should have known the scriptures better than others yet he missed out on the One person he was dedicating his life to serve.
But God is merciful and He stopped Saul by appearing to him. God did not punish him but restored him and Saul became Paul.
This is the picture of what God can do when we dedicate our lives to serving Him with all of our hearts.
This is one of the reasons why we should be led by the Holy Spirit and not by our own intellect.
God’s Spirit within us will guide us from glory to glory. He will reveal to us what is of God and what is of the devil.
Sadly, many in the church are led by the law instead of by the Holy Spirit of God. They come up with things, with good intentions but it stops people from serving the Lord in the right way.
Laws and ideas of man cause believers to become religious instead of having a relationship with God.
We become a monument instead of a movement. People who are of God feared Saul but they loved Paul and followed the teachings of Jesus.
Paul was baptised in the spirit and spent time to know the scripture by the power of the Holy Spirit.
He came out of that place with the revelation of Jesus and the gospel of the kingdom.
By the power of God’s Spirit, he preached, taught, and wrote about the truth of God’s word that sets people free.
Paul was zealous but doing the wrong thing but God turned him around because his heart desired to serve the Lord.
God can turn Saul into Paul, God can turn anyone that we are praying for and make them mighty men and women to do great things for Him.
Let us not lose heart but pray, speak life, and believe that things will turn around for good no matter how it looks like right now.
Blessings
