But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:18 NKJV When King Nebuchadnezzar summoned the nation to worship and bow before the golden image, there were only 3 young men found who would not bow to any other god besides God Almighty. These 3 young believers had a second chance before the king to bow to the golden image yet this time they were even bolder. They declared that they would not bow to the king's god. They have decided that even if God Almighty did not deliver them, they would rather die believing their faith. We get motivated and encouraged when we see such determination in those who faithfully holding on till the end. This is not just an encouragement for us but a blueprint of the ways of God to change a nation back to God when we stand for the truth and put God on the line. Choosing to trust only in His ability and power will give us a result that no man can do. The transformation of that nation was started by 3 young men who stood their ground, risking their lives for the Lord. God loves to act in these situations when His people believe in His promises instead of the threat that the government throws at us. Today we have a better covenant and better promises to do greater things. We all have to start somewhere. The best place to start is to stop giving excuses and walk by faith and see the glory of God. What the enemy wants to do is to grip us with fear. But God wants us to be gripped by His love, power and grace. Let us lay our life down, follow Jesus and stand for the truth for His kingdom.
