Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”?”

The writers described where Jesus is. Jesus is exalted to the highest place, to be called God’s Son and God, His Father.

This speaks about the authority, power, and dominion that Jesus has from His Father.

The Bible teaches us that as Jesus is, so are we in this world. The Bible also tells us that through Jesus, we as believers have become children of God.

In other words, we have been raised and given the power, authority, and dominion over this earth as children of God.

We are not strangers.

We are God’s own children saved by grace through Christ our Lord.

We are above the angels.

We have received the inheritance and have become an heir of His kingdom.

Jesus did not just save us to go to heaven.

Jesus saved us to rule and reign with Him here on earth and live with Him in heaven for eternity.

We are to walk and live on this earth conscious that we are God’s children and that God Almighty is our Father.

We are not alone.

We are surrounded with the cloud of witnesses and God the Holy Spirit living within us.

Jesus’s life is a reflection of who we are here on earth. He lived as a man born again as a son of God and inherited all that is of His Father to show us what we have received through Him.

We are to live boldly, conscious of who we are in Him, and live life in His glory.

Let us give attention to who we are in Him, looking unto Jesus who shows us our true identity, our true inheritance, and our true purpose.
